European Institute of Education sponsors seminar on sustainable energy at Villa Bighi

The European Institute of Education is to sponsor a seminar on sustainable energy organised by the Institute for Sustainable Energy of the University of Malta and the Malta Council for Science and Technology at Villa Bighi, Kalkara, on March 16.

The full-day seminar will be themed "Towards a sustainable energy future in Malta".

The seminar on sustainable energy will provide an excellent opportunity for reviewing the present state of energy-efficient and renewable energy technologies that would be applicable to Malta. Participants will discuss the challenges and appropriate measures that can be taken for sustainability in Malta's energy sector to move forward.

Issues under discussion include the Maltese energy landscape, bio-fuels, energy for transport, emissions, new concepts for solar water heating, wind and electrical energy and photo-voltaics. Leading experts including Prof. Luciano Mulè Stagno and M. Weissenbacher will address the event.
