Car service firm installs high-tech diagnostics system

John's AutoCare of Qormi, the specialised automotive service and repair subsidiary of John's Group, has invested in top-of-the-range Bosch service testing and diagnostic equipment.

The sophisticated equipment, the only one of its kind in Malta, can be connected to all vehicles that feature an electronic control unit. It operates a comprehensive testing and interrogation procedure and then produces a report listing fault codes which indicate what repairs are required.

Staff technicians Ryan Baldacchino and Stephen Camilleri have undergone intensive training in Denham, UK.

Training focused on the system's electrical and mechanical diagnostic capabilities.

The technicians are trained on the facility to connect online to Bosche in the UK to remedy any fault remotely over the internet, coupled with the convenience to use a helpline and speak directly to the UK technician.
