US Navy lectures airmen

Instrument flying, ship board flight operations and search and rescue procedures were among the subjects tackled by the US Navy in lectures to Armed Forces of Malta airmen and rescuers. The lectures were recently hosted by the AFM's Air Wing at Luqa.

Instrument flying, ship board flight operations and search and rescue procedures were among the subjects tackled by the US Navy in lectures to Armed Forces of Malta airmen and rescuers. The lectures were recently hosted by the AFM's Air Wing at Luqa. While no flight operations were conducted, Maltese air crew were briefed on various tasks that helicopters are called upon to perform.

The Air Wing's commanding officer, Lt Colonel Claudio Spiteri, said this training was useful for future joint operations between the Air Wing and US forces.
