Father arraigned over son's stabbing in family argument

A father allegedly stabbed his son in the stomach during a family argument in Gozo two days ago.

John Zammit, 61, of Għajnsielem, yesterday pleaded not guilty to trying to kill his 28-year-old son, Nicholas, at their house on Sunday morning.

The victim is still in hospital and is stable.

Magistrate Edwina Grima remanded the accused in custody.

Police Inspector Josric Mifsud prosecuted. Lawyer Grezzju Mercieca appeared for the accused.
