Widows and widowers' group elects new committee

A new committee has been elected for the group Minus One, a philanthropic and non-profit support group for widows and widowers and their dependent children.

The new committee, formed during the recent AGM, comprises Maria Borg as chairman, Marie-Louise Suda as secretary, Charles Schiavone as treasurer, Helen Cassar as public relations officer, Pat Bonello as new membership secretary, Roger Micallef as welfare officer and Joseph Zarb as social secretary. Albert Zammit, group founder and chairman for the past 12 years, has been appointed honorary president for the coming year.

Minus One aims to give moral and emotional support to widowed people under 60. It also strives to give information, advice and help and serves as an opportunity to socialise with people who are facing the same issues.
