The Armed Forces of Malta last night evacuated an unconscious man who was on board an Italian trawler located more than 80 nautical miles southwest of Malta.

The AFM deployed a helicopter to the ship and took the man to Mater Dei Hospital. His condition was unknown at the time of going to print.
