A zebra crossing in a major road going out from Cospicua just before the small chapel of San Ġwann t'Għuxa (St John the Almoner) is still in darkness notwithstanding several complaints over the past five months to the Cospicua council.
I was told by the council that they had passed the complaint on to Enemalta, but Enemalta in turn passed the buck to Transport Malta and the result is that we are still waiting for this zebra crossing to be lit.
We, as law-abiding pedestrians, have to cross this major road at night in darkness, with a great risk of being hit by a passing car. Can the authorities, whether the local council, Enemalta, or Transport Malta, get this zebra crossing lit before a serious accident happens?
