A woman is in danger of losing her life following a head-on collision in Tower Road, Swatar, Msida, at around 3.45 p.m.

The police said the collision was between a Mercedes driven by a 48-year-old man from St Julian’s and a Toyota Corolla, driven by a 41-year-old woman from Pembroke.

Both drivers were taken to hospital but the man, although still in hospital, is not in danger.

The road is closed to traffic.

Magistrate Jacqueline Padovani appointed experts to help in an inquiry.
