Industrial action at Mepa lifted
Mepa said today that its services have returned to normal after a dispute with trade unions was resolved.
The unions had issued a string of directives to their members, ordering them not to answer the phone or e-mails and not to communicate with the public, the governemnt or other authorities, amid disagreement on staff deployments related to the Mepa reform.
"Following an agreement between the management of MEPA, the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) and the two unions representing the Authority's employees, namely the Professional Workers' Union (UPAP) and the Union Haddiema Maghqudin (UHM), the industrial action at MEPA has been called off," the Authority said.

A heavy defeat you say!!! Well if you're happy with your imagination, than continue to dream ta :) Look at the surveys, go and ask people. They will all, and I will repeat ALL, tell you that we are satisfied with our dear government. Iva vera, it taxxi huma ftit gholja, izda dak ghal gid taghna. So please, you and other like you, do not continue to lower yourself, and join our glorious party, and be part of the ever winning formula. Because LP stands for Loser Party, created for losers.

UHM has many strings to pull within Government to resolve disputes without resorting to strike action. From past experience it is evident that when they call a strike they would already know that their claim would be met in a matter of days. But they resort to strike action to give the impression that they stand up to the Government. The game has been given away long ago.

At last ... maybe I will be able to have my telephone and internet connected to my new home. MEPA stopped processing applications of one of the internet companies and they couldn't do any works in the street. Thanks to the industrial action I was left without a telephone line and internet. But now ... hopefully ... I can start living in 2010 again !

So as everyone can see, the UHM does order industrial action with the PN in government. I wish i could say the same for the GWU when the PL in is power!
