Enemalta chairman Alex Tranter will be resigning shortly, the Finance Ministry said.

It said in a statement that the chairman had informed the ministry he would be accepting a new role with a multinational company abroad. He will remain chairman until a replacement is appointed.

Finance Minister Tonio Fenech thanked Mr Tranter for his useful contribution to the corporation and wished him success.
