The candidates' nominations for the forthcoming "hamlets" election are now confirmed.

The Nationalist Party has presented 36 representatives; the Labour Party only presented a measly 10 contestants to represent it in the eight locali-ties.

The representatives elected will dedicate themselves solely to the residents who live in these hamlets and it is very disappointing to see that Labour has hardly made an effort to participate more fully. What is even more bizarre is that Labour did not even present one candidate in Bubaqra, a Labour stronghold.

Is this the beginning of the end of the progressively motionless movement?
