St Lawrence, Xagħra held to a draw
St Lawrence Spurs and Xagħra United, the leading duo in Division Two, were both surprisingly held to a draw in their last matches.
The Spurs, despite holding territorial supremacy, could not find a way past Oratory Youths and had to settle for a point following a goalless draw.
On 72 minutes Renzo Formosa was unlucky when his shot rocked the Oratory crossbar and seconds from the final whistle goalkeeper Franklin Vella was called to make the best save of the afternoon following a header by Christopher Cauchi, of St Lawrence.
Xagħra also failed to win their match against lowly Għarb Rangers who took the lead on 20 minute following an own goal by Simon Sultana.
Rangers could have doubled the score before half-time but Roy Vella's shot was stopped by the woodwork. But, Xagħra staged a determined reaction after the break and their efforts were rewarded on 72 minutes when they levelled the score thanks to a Josef Galea goal.
Four minutes from time Għarb had Jonathan Apap sent off.
In the other match from Division Two last weekend, Munxar Falcons and Qala St Joseph figured in a 0-0 draw.
Munxar had a fifth-minute penalty saved by Qala keeper Kenny Grima.
