Cat rescue
A fireman protecting a cat after rescuing it yesterday from Villa Bonici in Manwel Dimech Street, Sliema. The dilapidated villa is currently at the centre of a disagreement between the Sliema Residents Association and its owner after Mepa removed the residence's urban conservation area status, allowing it to be redeveloped into a tall building. As for the cat, it had strayed into the building on Sunday and spent the night meowing, prompting residents to call the Civil Protection Department.

Good work !! The cat's facial expression seems to suggest it wasn't that happy but for sure glad to be rescued !!
