Independent accounting and audit firm Brian Tonna and Co. is to operate under its new name Nexia BT.

Nexia BT, with a headcount of around 30, has offices in Marsascala and at the Tower Business Centre in Swatar.

For the past two years, the firm has been a member of Nexia International, the world's 10th largest network of independent accounting and consulting firms. Nexia is represented with more than 500 offices in 103 countries, with a staff complement of over 18,000.

Earlier this month, Nexia BT hosted the network's first of two European tax conferences at the Westin Dragonara Resort. Around 45 partners travelled to Malta for the event. It was the first time the important event on the Nexia calendar was hosted in Malta.
