FXB is back in Malta following its participation at the annual Interiors NEC Birmingham 2010. The exhibition, deemed to be the UK's major furniture fair, not only hosts manufacturing and importing companies in the UK but also attracts foreign participants and is very popular with visitors coming especially from Ireland, the Nordic countries and northern Europe. FXB's participation forms part of the Group's increasing efforts to continue its penetration of the export market which the group has nurtured continuously over the last 25 years.

"We opted to participate in this exhibition with a selection from the Winchester Oak range which comprises reproduction furniture from the Tudor period as well as with FXB's own modern lines namely the Romeo Wallunit and the Estelle Bedroom. In fact I feel we have had very positive feedback on our stand where our visitors showed a lot of interest in all our ranges, both our modern products as well as our Winchester Oak," explained Joseph Borg, managing director of FXB Group.

Comparing this year's participation with previous editions, Mr Borg said how the past years have seen a gradual decrease in the furniture manufacturing industry in the UK and a steadily increasing flow of furniture importation. "The participation of foreign companies was a major contributor to this fair and a lot of positive signs vouched for this, especially a perceived increased number of visitors," he said.

FXB's participation at the annual Interiors NEC Birmingham 2010 was also made possible thanks to the financial support from the European Regional Development Fund through the International Competitiveness Grant Scheme in which the FXB Group is participating.
