Seminar on workers and consumers

The Kummissjoni Pastorali fid-Dinja tax-Xogħol of the Archdiocese of Malta is organising a seminar on Tuesday at 9.30 a.m. at Europe House, Valletta, entitled 'The worker and consumer: are they in conflict?' - a theme that emerges from Pope Benedict's lastest encyclical Caritas in Veritate.

Speakers will include union representatives Gejtu Vella and Tony Zarb, Labour president Stefan Zrinzo Azzopardi, Nationalist general secretary Paul Borg Olivier, and Josephine Borg, of the Consumer and Competition Division. Fr Joe Inguanez will be the main speaker.

Archbishop Paul Cremona will conclude the seminar.

The objective of the seminar is not only to bring to light the teachings of the Church on the theme of human development but also to make people aware that the Church is sensitive to man's quest for love and truth even at the workplace.
