Jonathan Young, a student of the Sacred Heart Minor Seminary of Victoria and who lives in Xagħra, was named a Merit Award Winner in the 22nd annual Lions' International Peace Poster Contest, with the theme 'The Power of Peace'.

Twelve-year-old Jonathan's winning poster was chosen for its originality and artistic merit. He is one of 24 finalists chosen from over 350,000 entries by children from 65 countries.

Jonathan will be presented with a cash award of $500 (€368.24) as well as a certificate of achievement by the Lions Club Sliema.
