The Gozo Business Chamber (GBC) celebrated the 10th anniversary of its foundation with a commemorative event at Hotel Calypso, Marsalforn.

Finance Minister Tonio Fenech spoke on various aspects, including the government's commitment not only to the business community, but to the whole of Gozo, mentioning that tax credits on any investment, whether machinery or new technology, equipment that reduces energy consumption or even when employing people, are going up from 40 to 60 per cent.

Speaking on tourism, Mr Fenech said last year several initiatives were made towards specialist tour operators to encourage diving holidays and group holidays in Gozo.

To mark the occasion, John Magro and Michael Caruana, who both served as president of the Gozo Business Chamber, were made honorary presidents.
