Innovative academy's phenomenal success

ACCA accountancy tuition provider Richard Clarke Academy has reported a high rate of expansion both locally and abroad.

The Malta-based company said local student numbers were at a record high and that it had recently opened new offices in Edinburgh and Aberdeen, Scotland, and Belfast, Northern Ireland. In addition, an expansion programme that includes 40 new UK centres is planned for the next 18 months.

With this new project on the horizon for 2011 the academy's founder Richard Clarke is keen to maintain a 'back-to-basics' approach of teaching effectively and efficiently. But according to Clarke, there are three basic ingredients for his academy's runaway success: customer service; keeping the teaching simple; and constant innovation to keep things fresh.

One such innovation this year has been the academy's new iPhone application - which is available for free on iTunes and provides students access to podcasts, video lectures, blogs, study skill tips, as well as up-to-date Continuing Professional Eduction (CPE) information for already qualified staff.

He says his academy's excellent ACCA pass rates - which were recognised last November when ACCA awarded the academy the gold standard of achievement - are a testament to his talented tutors in Malta.

Although the academy's CPE courses for qualified staff have all been oversubscribed for the coming months, it said more are on their way.

In the meantime the academy's advice to prospective students is follow them on Twitter (RCAtweets). "They are the most followed face-to-face accountancy tuition provider in the world", the academy said.

Courses for the next term, including F1 to F3, start at the end of the month.
