There were also full-point wins for Fina over Royal Shock which helped them improve to second place, and also for third-placed PharmaVet over Turu's Knights.
Leaders Ramis won 6-2 in their clash with Salitos, and there was a similar win for HSBC against Calamatta Cuschieri Ltd.
There's nothing like a team on the rebound from a heavy beating, and with their hammering of okmalta.com, Globalair registered the highest scratch and handicap games (864-879), as well as the highest team series (2,487-2,532) of the season to date.
Ramis are still comfortable at the top of the classification, but dropped two points against Salitos.
Ramis took the advantage with a brace of wins, 757-727 in game one followed by an 803-737 result in the second to take a 161-pin advantage heading into game three.
That fell to Salitos, 679-578, to secure the latter a quarter share of the spoils.
