Mission Fund raising funds for Tanzania hospital

The Mission Fund will hold its annual television marathon this Sunday between midday and midnight to raise funds for a Maltese nun in Tanzania.

The event will be held at Hermann Bonaci Studios, Ħandaq.

Sister Maria Borda, a Maltese missionary nun and a medical doctor who has served in Tanzania for the past 25 years, has requested help to raise funds to build a new block at Makiungu Hospital. She is the hospital's director and the hospital caters for 400,000 people.

The television marathon will feature interviews with Maltese missionaries and show situations they faced.

The intention is to raise awareness about the work carried out by the 700 Maltese and Gozitan missionaries. In addition, leading Maltese artistes will be performing.
