Luxury yacht manufacturer awarded accolade

Luxury motor yacht manufacturer Fairline Boats was awarded the Motor Boat of the Year award 2010 in the 'Flybridge over 55ft' category for the new Fairline Squadron 65, which made its debut at the London International Boat show last month.

The Squadron 65 exhibits Fairline's attention to no-expense-spared detailing and is packed with new ideas.

A home away from home, with unimaginable comforts, audiovisual and entertainment systems, mood lighting, leathers, lavishly finished woodwork and finishing, the vessel is equipped with the latest technology.

The award was accepted by Derek Carter, CEO, Fairline Boats, and Adam Greenwood, technical director, who said: "This is the second motor yacht in our next generation of Squadron models that has received this award. Last year the Squadron 55 won the award following her debut in autumn 2008. We are delighted that the design and build of the new Squadron 65 has also been recognised and praised following her launch last May."

The Squadron 65 has many ideas, which include a VIP cabin with skylight and own ensuite bathroom, equal in space to that of the full-beam master cabin.

Another surprise is the crew cabin with its glass windows, which has been transformed from hideaway crew or children's cabin into a genuine fourth cabin with its own shower room for guests.

The Flybridge feels like it has been stolen from a much larger vessel with a fully equipped BBQ/wet bar, comfortable seating and a large sun-bathing area.

The Fairline Squadron 65 is a highly specified boat that offers sophistication, spacious living and entertaining areas where to relax in luxury and style.

The vessel is full of surprises, which is the key to the great success and praise she is receiving.

The next model to join the Squadron range will be the new Squadron 41, to be launched in summer.
