A former unofficial car park opposite the Ursuline creche in Guardamangia is being turned into a square.

Resources Minister George Pullicino, who visited the works, said the transformation of the site was fitting, given the service to the country given by the Ursuline sisters over the past 100 years.

A statue of Mgr Isidor Formosa, founder of the Ursuline Sisters, will be set up in the middle of the square.

The works are due to be completed on March 19.
