Tarxien's Denni named top player for January

Tarxien Rainbows playmaker Denni Rocha Dos Santos has captured the BOV best player award for January.

Denni's influential performances for the in-form Tarxien Rainbows have earned him the monthly prize for the second time this season, having also won it in October 2009.

There is no disputing Denni's rich talent and his usefulness for the team.

January saw Denni produce another highly productive run in which the Brazilian scored three goals against Floriana, Sliema, and Qormi and helped Tarxien maintain their quest for Championship Pool.

Charles Grech Soler, manager of Bank of Valletta's Paola branch, congratulated Denni and presented him with the BOV player of the month trophy for January.

The player chose The Ursuline Sisters of Tarxien to benefit from the monetary donation linked to this award.
