GALEA. On February 9, at Mater Dei Hospital, WALLEY of Gżira, aged 70, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Lilian, his children David and his wife Christine and Sharon and her husband Peter, his granddaughters Hannah and Hayley, his brothers and sisters, brothers and sisters-in-law, their families, numerous relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2 p.m. for Gżira parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at St Lawrence Cemetery, Vittoriosa. Donations to the Malta Hospice Movement, Balzan, will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

GERADA. On February 8, at Boffa Hospital, ANNIE of Msida, aged 65, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Charlie, her children Charmaine, Dorianne and Mario, her brothers and sisters, Anthony, France, Emanuel, Raymond and Julie and their respective spouses, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Sir Paul Boffa Hospital today at 2 p.m. for St Joseph the Worker parish church, Msida, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Ursuline Sisters, Guardamangia, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest. MAMO. On February 7, RAYMOND of Marsaxlokk, (ex-Technical Officer at the University of Malta Junior College), aged 52, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Rosanna, his children Maria and Samuel, his mother Antonietta, his sisters and brothers, Rita, Catherine, Mario and Joseph and their spouses, his mother-in-law, nephews and nieces, in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 8 a.m. for Christ the King parish church, Paola, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment in the family grave at Tarxien cemetery. Gozo ferry service

The Gozo Channel service will run every 30 minutes on Thursday morning due to the increase in traffic to the island on the occasion of St Paul. The ferry will run at 6 a.m., 6.30 a.m., 7 a.m. and 7.30 a.m. from Mġarr and at 6.30 a.m., 7 a.m. and 7.30 a.m. from Ċirkewwa. Other trips will be performed according to schedule.

Din l-Art Ħelwa AGM

Din l-Art Ħelwa will be holding its annual general meeting at its offices at 133, Melita Street, Valletta on February 27 at 11 a.m. Any members wishing to propose a resolution are to submit it to the council by no later than February 16. All members are urged to attend.

Prayer evening

An evening of prayer for peace and new evangelisation of the world, organised by the International Movement of Prayer Blessed Pope John XXIII, will be held in the basement chapel of Sarria church, Floriana, on February 17 from 5.30 to 6.30 p.m.
