Obituary

GALEA. On February 5, at Mater Dei Hospital, Sr TERESINA, aged 83, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss the Sisters at the Augustinian Sisters community at St Catherine's Monastery, Valletta, her sisters Giulietta, widow of Carmelo Wismayer, Carmelina, widow of Joseph Borg, and Giovanna, widow of Michael Fenech Adami, nephews, nieces and grandchildren. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 9 a.m. for St Catherine's Monastery, Republic Street, Valletta, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.30 a.m., followed by interment at the monastery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

MIZZI. On February 6, at her home in Lija, ELIZABETH (Betty) née Pritchard, aged 74, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband Manoel, her sons Simon and his wife Sue, and Karl, her adorable grandchildren Sarah and Gregory, her brother John and niece Sharon from the UK and all her in-laws, nephews and nieces, and many friends in Malta, Gozo and the UK. A memorial service will be held at Lija parish church today at 9.15 a.m. followed by interment at Lija cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Malta Hospice Movement will be greatly appreciated. The family would like to thank all the staff at Boffa Hospital and the Malta Hospice Movement who looked after her.

VELLA. On February 6, CATHERINE, aged 72, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sisters Carmen Decesare, Michelle Agius, Donia and her husband Joe Cassar, Rose Zarb and Jenny Aquilina, her nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2.30 p.m. for Mosta parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3.30 p.m. followed by interment at Mosta cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

PISANI - EDDIE. Tomorrow the 42nd anniversary of his death. Deeply missed and never forgotten by his sons and daughters, Silvio, Marlene, Angele, Lawrence and Albert. A Mass for the repose of his soul and of his wife and our dear mother Mary will be said tomorrow at noon at St James church, Valletta. Lord, grant them both eternal rest.

VELLA. In loving memory of JOSEPH on the 14th anniversary of his death. His children Mary and Tony Gregory, Vicki and Richard Escott, Leonard and Carmen, his son-in-law Peter Tortell, and his grandchildren. Praise be to Jesus and Mary.
