UĦM orders industrial action in government schools

The Union Ħaddiema Magħqudin has ordered part-time clerks in state schools not to do any work which does not fall within their job description.

In a statement, the union said the directives were issued after the Education Ministry failed to submit its counter proposals regarding these employees, even after the union had declared an industrial dispute over the matter on Tuesday.

The union said the part-time clerks were being ordered not to carry out any work which was previously done by staff at a higher grade.
