Still no voucher for low-energy bulbs
I wish to strongly complain about the way the government scheme for changing light bulbs has taken a roundabout turn in my case.
I read on this paper that many a time consumers who did not receive their voucher for low consumption bulbs were so aggrieved that they went in person to different departments to lodge their complaint. More often than not, they were happy to receive the bulbs within a reasonable time.
I opted to complain via the phone number advertised at the time. I have heard nothing since, albeit having followed up even through a letter in this paper and having been duly advised (in return) to wait until the end of January to expect some kind of outcome.
As I had already explained, I changed (nearly) all but five bulbs inside my household to low consumption bulbs and LED lights and I would be quite happy if I should experience a drop in my consumption, although my bill will not be likewise. So far, however, I am still without the bulbs to which I am entitled under the government scheme.
In order to reduce energy consumption, I am not using a chandelier which has the old bulbs in it. For Pete's sake, when am I going to be credited with my bulbs?
All I ask is for the kind gentleman at the Malta Resources Authority, Sinclair Borg, to contact me once and for all to say that my file has been examined and that the bulbs will be sent to me (obviously through some form of letter) within a short time frame, nothing else. I hope this letter will be seen to now.

I really appreciate the public comments, however I wish to state clear and plain that, as mentioned in my letter, I do not rely on anyone to spoon feed me and I have changed ALL the lights to either low consumption or LED, except the five I am entitled to free of charge from the Government, however if I am entitled to something I believe I should get it. I do sincerely hope that all those who do not believe this did get their share as that way they cannot complain. All I am asking is for my right to be honored, nothing else.

I've contacted the same person via internet, was asked for details and promised that my case would be dealt with but I have received no voucher for the bulbs I'm entitled to yet.

@ lgalea : Why don't you take responsibility for your own life for a change rather than relying on someone else all of the time such as the government? Meanwhile those that do move on with their lives while you still moaning about a few light bulbs.
The days are now long gone when people can be expected to be spoon fed by the state. Make a difference in your own life and in that of others by doing things yourself. No one owes you any kind of living.

Why should he buy them when everyone was promised that they will receive them?
Even if they were worth 1c they should have been delivered and no excuses.
If such simple things cannot be effectively managed, how can much more important ones ever be managed effectively?

Why don't you just buy a few of the energy saving bulbs yourself? Ther cost very little. Why do people make such a big deal on free hand-outs that are in fact worthing nothing more than a couple of drinks?
Buy them yourself and if/when the "free" ones come through, you'll have a few spares.
