Le Méridien St Julians Hotel & Spa has launched a conference and meetings portal at www.lemeridienmalta.com/meetings.

The portal is an initiative of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, in co-operation with web developers WebCanada Inc.

It is not only aimed at event organisers, who are now able to access all the information they need related to conferences and meetings in a single location. The portal also allows Starwood and its hotels to gain online exposure through search engine optimisation with meeting- and conference-related keywords.

"This new portal provides a one-stop shop for event organisers, while pushing up our cumulative rankings on the main search engines," Ludivine Bendotti, e-commerce manager at Le Méridien St Julians Hotel & Spa, explained.
