So according to the president of Public Transport Association, Victor Spiteri, receiving a lump sum of €103,000 for an old crumbling bus, ready to be scrapped, is like queuing to enter Auschwitz's concentration camp!

By what stretch of the imagination can anyone compare Auschwitz with a bus of sentimental value? This is beyond my comprehension. Auschwitz was a death camp for 1.2 million human beings. I ask Mr Spiteri, have you ever been to Auschwitz as a visitor? I had the opportunity to visit the camp some years ago; it's a macbre place and not to be visited by the faint hearted. Auschwitz was liberated by Soviet troops on January, 27, 1945, thus we have just commemorated the 65th anniversary.
