Bus company must be a reputable one (2)
So according to the president of Public Transport Association, Victor Spiteri, receiving a lump sum of €103,000 for an old crumbling bus, ready to be scrapped, is like queuing to enter Auschwitz's concentration camp!
By what stretch of the imagination can anyone compare Auschwitz with a bus of sentimental value? This is beyond my comprehension. Auschwitz was a death camp for 1.2 million human beings. I ask Mr Spiteri, have you ever been to Auschwitz as a visitor? I had the opportunity to visit the camp some years ago; it's a macbre place and not to be visited by the faint hearted. Auschwitz was liberated by Soviet troops on January, 27, 1945, thus we have just commemorated the 65th anniversary.

Well, at least, Spiteri heard of Auschwitz. What do you expect from him?

The guards also had to stand in line when entering the camp...
