Congratulations to Mr. Salvu Gauci whom I have known since the eighties during my work at the MDC. The Electoral Commission is a hot seat but with dialogue and consultations things can be achieved. The Electoral Commission must undergo a change programme and must have a strategic communications plan to safeguard the trust of the general public.
There is also need for a general upgrading of the offices and IT systems to cope with new challenges.
