Raymond Zarb, 31, of Birkirkara was yesterday charged in court with having seriously injured Larry Muscat when he allegedly stabbed him on Sunday afternoon.

The incident happened at Big Shot Bar in Mosta.

Mr Zarb allegedly broke a glass and stabbed Mr Muscat in the neck during a fight over a woman.

Mr Muscat lost a lot of blood and is still undergoing treatment in hospital. His condition is stable.

The accused pleaded not guilty.

Magistrate Antonio Mizzi granted him bail against a guarantee of €5,000.
