Qormi return to winning ways, at Hamrun's expense
Qormi 2
Hamrun Spartans 1
Qormi returned to winning ways tonight when they defeated Hamrun Spartans 2-1 at the Hamrun ground.
Roderick Fenech put the Spartans ahead after a quarter of an hour when he rose above everyone to power a header into the back of the net, but Qormi surged ahead with two goals in four minutes. Ivan Casha came out of
his lines and turned a free-kick by Massimo Grima into his own net. And Qormi's comeback was complete two minutes later when Bartolo tormented the Spartans with a dazzling solo run, jinking past three players, before cooling placing the ball beyond Casha on 52 minutes
The result leaves Qormi in third place, one point below Birkirkara, while Hamrun, like Floriana, have a battle on their hands to avoid dropping into the relegation pool.

Dear Mr.Randolph Debattista, you are misleading the public because you are not updated on the off side rule. Please visit the underneath web address to see that the assistant referee was right to rule out the goal.

Thanks Timesofmalta.com! Through this video we have a confirmation that assistant referree Ingmar Spiteri's decision to annul Hamrun's last goal was totally wrong!
As we all can see, Mawete was NOT in an offside position, since Qormi's goalkeeper was out of his place!!
Incredible, to say the least!!
