• Wines Direct Cash and Carry are offering the opportunity to buy pallets of water at €1.25 for a pack of six 1.5 litre bottles, so they may be donated to survivors in Haiti. Those wishing to make a donation are asked to call the Civil Protection Department on 2166 0879 to organise a collection.

• The Missions Office at 7 Merchants Street, Valletta, is holding a bazaar every Friday in aid of the missions. The bazaar is held in a warehouse at Mgr Alfred Mifsud Street, corner with Carmel Street in Birkirkara, and is open between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. All proceeds go towards financing projects in third world countries. • A series of talks on priesthood are being held at St Francis Centre, Quarries Street, Ħamrun, between 7 and 8 p.m. as follows: 'The life of the priest and the radicalism of the Gospel' by Fr Marcellino Micallef, OFM, on Tuesday, 'The Church and the gift of the vocation of priesthood' by Fr Hector Scerri, on February 9, 'The priestly vocation in the Church's pastoral work' by Mgr Joseph Mifsud Bonnici, on February 16, and 'Holy Mary in the life of the priest' by Fr Thomas Calleja, OFM Conv., on February 23. The talks will be preceded at 6.30 p.m. by the Rosary, and followed by 15 minutes of adoration for the needs of priests and for vocations to the priesthood. • A bazaar will be held at 49 Cathedral Street, Sliema, next door to Stella Maris parish centre on Wednesday and Thursday. Open all day from 9.30 a.m.

• The next self-help group meeting organised by the Richmond Foundation for those who are experiencing mental health difficulties will be held on Wednesday at 5.30 p.m. at 16 Antonio Agius Street, Floriana. The Never Mind Leisure Centre at St Augustine's parish hall, Valletta, is also open every Monday from 5.30 to 7 p.m. The centre is managed by the foundation and welcomes all those who would like to make friends in a safe, fun and creative environment. • A day-long adoration will be held on Thursday at the Archbishop's Seminary, Tal-Virtù, Rabat, to pray for vocations to the priesthood and religious life. It will start with Mass at 9.30 a.m. followed by adoration for the rest of the day. The seminarians will join at 6.30 p.m. and another Mass at 7.15 p.m. will conclude the day. Individuals and groups are welcome to attend.

• An ecumenical prayer service on the theme 'But we will have to run aground on some island' will take place at St Paul's Sanctuary, St Paul's Bay, on Friday at 6.30 p.m. as part of celebrations marking the 1,950th anniversary of St Paul's shipwreck in Malta. Fr Hector Scerri, pastoral secretary for ecumenism, will lead the service while Fr Simon Godfrey, chancellor of St Paul's Anglican Cathedral, Valletta, will deliver the sermon.

• To celebrate the traditional feast of the presentation of Jesus in the temple known in France as La Chandeleur, the Alliance Francaise is organising a soirée des crêpes with a pancake menu at Grotto Tavern, Rabat, on February 8 at 8 p.m. For more details, call 2123 8456.
