Viset Malta plc, operator and developer of the Valletta cruise and ferry terminal and the Valletta Waterfront, has appointed Renè Cummings as chief business development officer.

Ms Cummings has over 20 years' business management and marketing experience in a variety of industries and market sectors. She was the president and owner of a US cruise-only franchise specialised in the Washington DC area for over 10 years.

She was a public relations specialist for a leading cruise line. Her educational credentials include a university degree in business management with further specialised marketing studies at the University of Maryland.
