Multigas Ltd has announced it will stop dispensing oxygen on the Health Department's behalf from tomorrow.

As from Monday, people making use of the home oxygen service are asked to return any empty medical gas cylinders they may have to Mater Dei Hospital's Pharmacy Department.

The opening times are 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday to Friday and 8 a.m. to midday on Saturday. An original agreement document for the loan of an oxygen cylinder must be provided on its return.

Anyone still making use of the service will be given instructions on how to receive the service from Poligas Ltd instead.

Patients requiring a new cylinder must pay €93.17 as a deposit to Poligas Ltd.

The emergency service for oxygen will be provided by Poligas Ltd through Mater Dei Hospital. Patients urgently requiring oxygen after hours are to call Mater Dei Hospital pharmacy on 2545 6514.
