Melita Mobile is celebrating its first year of operations by offering super-low tariff plans.

"Pay Monthly" mobile subscribers may sign up to the new "Unlimited Pay Monthly Plans" offering unlimited calls to all Melita Mobile and Melita fixed-line numbers, unlimited calls to a selection of subscriber selected numbers and a generous allocation of free minutes to other networks. These new plans will replace the previous post-paid mobile tariffs. Existing customers are free to remain on their existing plans.

In yet another first for Malta, Melita Mobile is the first mobile operator to give its subscribers the opportunity to make unlimited calls every month. This is not a temporary offer, but a permanent in-built benefit of these new tariffs, the company said.

There is a choice of three plans, starting from €12 a month. Customers subscribing to one of the tariffs may also receive a free 3G mobile phone. The tariffs also come with two optional add-on packages - €5 a month for unlimited SMS to any number and €23 a month for 7GB of mobile internet.

"This is the first time that a mobile phone tariff includes unlimited calls on a permanent basis and not as part of a limited time offer," Melita chief executive officer Andrei Torriani said.
