Seven MPs are attending a commemoration marking the 65th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp.

The parliamentary delegation is led by deputy Speaker Carmelo Abela and includes Beppe Fenech Adami, Francis Agius, Owen Bonnici, Leo Brincat, Michael Falzon and Ninu Zammit.

The event is organised by the European Friends of Israel Mission to Auschwitz between today and tomorrow in Krakow, Poland.

The programme includes an official ceremony at the Auschwitz-Birkenau camps and a special symposium on remembering the holocaust and fighting anti-Semitism.

Mr Abela will be addressing the symposium on Remembering The Holocaust And Fighting Anti-Semitism and chairing one of the sittings.
