Parts of Attard to spend night without power

Parts of Attard will be without power tonight because of two simultaneous faults on the high voltage network, Enemalta said.

The fault developed at 2.45 p.m., causing power cuts in Attard, parts of Lija and parts of Balzan.

While Lija, Balzan and parts of Attard got their power back at 6 p.m.Enemalta admitted that power for the rest of Attard cannot be restored before the morning.

"Due to the two simultaneous faults, supply to parts of Attard cannot be restored until the necessary repairs have been completed. Full supply is expected by early tomorrow morning. Enemalta personnel are on site and repairs are underway," the corporation said.

It apologised for any inconvenience caused.
