I lived, I swam, I was educated at the Dockyard school, I boated in that bay and the others next to it, for 70 years almost. In the past everybody looked at it, as an ugly sight full of " the Cottonera South!!" It is now that people are appreciating the Beauty that Cottonera beholds, why does it take so long for people to sway from the city life to the pleasantness of natural tranquility that I enjoyed all my life, but others criticised me for it?
Early in the morning I would wake up to see the wavemotion set up by the steam ferry boat on the surface of a still sea, which sometimes shimmered with twinkling silver coins as the breeze of the day broke through. Later when my daughter Sarah was born and saw these spectacular wave motions around the boats, she once excalimed, " Dad, they look just like a Christmas tree, and so it was.
The heavy light intensity in the skyline background could also be from the film facility operations, but the closer are comining from the area where I live at Progress Str and Sta Liberata, possibly De La Salle certainly not Fortini.

Very nice photo!!! Unfortunately the floodlights of the Fortini sports area (at least I think so)attract much of the attention towards them.

Very nice photo! But it is a clear evidence of Light pollution. I wonder what the string of bright floodlights on the left centre side of the photo are used for.
