Traffic accident victim stable

An elderly man who was critically injured when he was run over two days ago was in a stable condition yesterday. The man, 80, was hit while crossing Antoine De Paule Square, Paola early in the morning. He was rushed to hospital where he was found to be critically injured.

A police spokesman said yesterday that although still in intensive care, the man's condition had improved slightly.
