Malta, Hong Kong, to discuss double taxation agreement

Malta and Hong Kong are to hold technical talks in March on a double taxation agreement.

The Finance Ministry said the possibility of such an agreement was discussed in Hong Kong by Parliamentary Secretary Jason Azzopardi.

Malta would be the only southern European country to have a double taxation agreement with Hong Kong, opening opportunities for trade exchanges, the ministry said.

Dr Azzopardi had talks with decision makers in the financial and industrial sectors.
