I am sad to say that the standard and value of entertainment has diminished with the continuous chat shows. It seems there are a special breed of people who go round our three main TV stations and enjoy listening to their own voices. If the government could somehow harness all the hot air that projects out of their mouths into some form of energy, it would cut our utility bills...

It is also difficult to enjoy a whole evening of viewing on any local station without coming across a programme in which a group of people are shouting the odds under the direction of a presenter.

And why has TVM got to show repeats of Deal Or No Deal from last November in the middle of January? Repeats and repeats, not just on our main stations but also on those provided at great expense by our cable and satellite companies - BBC Entertainment manages to show the same programme at least four times during the same week.

I think it is high time for the broadcasting regulator to take a close look at what is being offered.
