The Gozo Snooker Cup, organised by the Gozo Billiards & Snooker Association and played at the Leone Band Club, will draw to a close on Friday when Jason Vassallo defends his title in the final against the up-and-coming Shaun Sultana.
Over the weekend, Vassallo, the dominant figure in Gozo since 2005, and Sultana won their respective semi-final matches to book their place in the final.
Vassallo beat Peter Pace while Sultana eliminated Simon Vella.
This will be Sultana's first final in the Premier League. So far he has been impressive in all his games.
Last year, Sultana represented the country in St Petersburg when playing in the U-19 event of the European Championships.
The final, played over best-of-11 frames, starts at 4.30 p.m.
Minister for Gozo Giovanna Debono and Leone Band Club president Michael Caruana will preside at the presentations ceremony.
In all, 70 players, split in four divisions, have been competing in the Gozo Cup since November.
The Gozitan snooker association has other competitions in store for the rest of the season which ends in June.
