Woman arraigned after airport drugs find

A 27-year-old woman from the Dominican Republic but resident in Barcelona, was arraigned in court today and accused of conspiring to import, importing and possession of cocaine in circumstances which denoted it was not for her exclusive use.

Police sources said that Canderaria Vasquez Carvajal was stopped at the airport yesterday after arriving on a flight from Zurich. She was allegedly found carrying 250 grams of cocaine hidden in tubes in her private parts.

The woman pleaded not guilty but was remanded in custody.
