Poetry evening

The Maltese Poets Association (Għaqda Poeti Maltin) recently organised a poetry evening at the Attard parish centre.

In an introductory speech to a packed hall, association president Alfred Massa expressed his satisfaction that such evenings have become so popular and are steadily attracting larger audiences.

After readings of poems in both Maltese and English, vice-president Patrick Sammut gave a talk on the structure of the sonnet. This was followed by refreshments.

The poetry association was invited by Attard local council and the culture section within the parish pastoral council.
