Paul Michael Kavanagh, 31, a resident of Attard, was remanded in custody today after pleading not guilty to committing a hold-up at Classic Jewellers at St Julians, on December 14, stealing some €100,000 worth of jewellery.

He also pleaded not guilty to holding a salesgirl against her will, carrying a firearm during the commission of a crime, stealing a motorcycle, stealing number plates and relapsing.

He was remanded in custody.
