The next phase of vaccination against H1N1 will involve the inoculation of children, the Secretariat for Community Care said this afternoon.

As from tomorrow, parents may take children aged from six months to five years to be vaccinated at health centres or Gozo hospital.

The opening hours for vaccination are: health centres: from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3-7 p.m.; Gozo hospital: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Should children not be accompanied by a parent, those responsible must produce a parent's ID card as well as the Immunisation Record Card.

Vaccination had so far been restricted to the most vulnerable group, including the elderly and those suffering chronic disease.

The secretariat said that 46,928 persons took the jab.
