Boy has chopstick removed from brain

A young Chinese boy is recovering after surgery to remove a chopstick lodged in his brain.

In late December, the 14-month old child from China's eastern Shandong province was playing with chopsticks while his mother Zhao Guili was in the next room.

She ran in to his screams to find the toddler had fallen and a chopstick had become stuck far up his nose, protruding four centimetres into his brain.
