Baby Jesus theft claims denied
File picture
Reports that statuettes of Baby Jesus have been stolen from several roadside cribs were denied this morning by the Environmental Landscapes Consortium.
Radio DJs said this morning that Baby Jesus statuettes were missing from the cribs at Floriana, Attard and outside Mater Dei Hospital.
However, a spokesman for Environmental Landscapes Consortium said the statuettes had been removed at the start of the process to disassemble the cribs.

Dismantling the decorations are well overdue.

This is a good one.... dismantling by seniority. First Baby Jesus, then Mary and then Joseph

HAHAHAHAHA
How big are these statues if they have to be dismantled piece by piece? I imagine it´s first Baby Jesus, followed by the crib then Mary followed by Joseph, perhaps works will be finalised by next Christmas
Unbelievable! At least there will be more hours of work punched!

QUOTE.....statuettes had been removed at the start of the process to disassemble the cribs UNQUOTE This is where I find my country, which should be an upmarket tourist destination with all it has to offer, so frustrating. The cribs are beautiful and meant to embellish the urban environment. When dismantled they should not be dismantled piecemeal but in one process, not left for days half dismantled, therebye becoming an eyesore. We have a long way to go when it comes to quality in Malta, and it is us who pay the price for that
